Elana Moss is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a B.A. in Holocaust & Judaic Studies and a Certificate in Ethnic Studies. She will be completing her M.A. in Jewish Education via distance learning through the Davidson School of Jewish Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary.
Elana has been involved in Jewish Education for many years and has held numerous positions in synagogues as a teacher and youth advisor. Her creative programming and her hands-on involvement with teachers, families, students and parents has led to an increase in synagogue participation.
Elana has strong ties to Israel and has traveled there many times with family as well as twice with the March of the Living in 1998 (as a teen participant) and 2008 (as a Jewish Educator/Staff), Birthright in 2003 and JTS in 2006. She feels a commitment to teach others Jewish History, especially as it relates to Israel, and the importance of Israel for the future of the Jewish people.
When not “working”, Elana enjoys reading, movies, and time with friends and family. Since coming to Congregation Beth Am in July 2015, as the Director of Education and Congregational Programming Coordinator, she has received an incredibly warm reception and Orlando now feels like home.
