Education
In the Jewish tradition, education is a responsibility. At Congregation Beth Am we believe education is a key to understanding what it means to be Jewish. Prayers and living in a Godly manner are important, but understanding our history and traditions is what keeps Judaism growing. As the world changes, Judaism grows and education is the foundation upon which Judaism is built.
Every member of the congregation, regardless of age, is encouraged to ask questions.
We learn together and grow together as our shared understanding of Judaism is explored. We discuss, analyze, and share insights gathered from a study of the Torah and Talmud. We encourage an exchange of ideas which allows us to value different points of view, a core tenet of Judaism. These are the guiding principles of Congregation Beth Am and our school.
